Debt management and paying off your mortgage faster
Debt management with Channel Wealth means a clear, realistic plan to pay down what you owe, starting with the most expensive debt. Rory D’Agostino helps Sutherland Shire families structure their mortgage and other loans, use offset accounts well, free up cash flow, and decide when paying down debt beats investing, so you move steadily towards being debt-free.
Who it’s for
-
Your mortgage feels like it will never shrink
-
Credit cards, car loans or personal loans are eating your cash flow
-
You’re not sure whether to pay off debt or invest
-
You want a date by which the mortgage is gone
Clear steps to financial freedom
Debt isn’t good or bad on its own. What matters is what it costs, what it is funding, and whether you have a plan to clear it. Most families we meet have never had that plan written down.
We start with cash flow. Once you can see where the money goes, it is usually possible to free up more than you expect, and put it to work on the right debt first.
What we help with
- A payoff order. Clearing expensive, non-deductible debt first, such as credit cards and personal loans.
- Your mortgage. Offset accounts, repayment frequency and extra repayments, and what each is worth.
- Structure. Splitting loans or separating investment and personal debt, working with your broker.
- Debt versus investing. When paying down debt beats investing, and when it doesn’t.
- Debt recycling. Whether it could suit you, with the risks explained plainly.

My wife and I have been working with Rory for a number of years. We were making good money but felt we weren't getting ahead. He has been extremely helpful in helping us set up property investments, understanding our cash flow and putting our money to good use. We have seen a noticeable increase in assets and feel like we are making good progress longer term. Would highly recommend!

FAQs
Common questions
Should I pay off my mortgage or invest?
It depends on your interest rate, tax position, timeframe and how comfortable you are with risk. Often the answer is a bit of both, in a set order. We model the options for your situation.
What is debt recycling?
A strategy that gradually converts non-deductible home loan debt into investment debt, where the interest may be tax-deductible. It carries risk and suits some people, not all, so it always needs personal advice.
Do you refinance loans?
We don’t arrange loans ourselves. We work out the right structure as part of your plan and can work with your mortgage broker to put it in place.
